So PrEP is an acronym actually, for pre-exposure prophylaxis. Long word.

There are two forms of PrEP currently available in the US. That is, oral PrEP and injectable PrEP. The oral PrEP is a pill that you take once a day. The injectable PrEP, you take it once a month. After the first two months, it’s every two months to prevent you from contracting HIV.

Hopefully, after these new trials with another long-acting injectable PrEP, you’ll be able to take it twice a year, and that’s it.
