We have four prevention options. So, I like to start with TASP first, which is for persons who are living with HIV. TASP is an acronym for treatment as prevention, which means that a person is entered into an early HIV treatment option to become undetectable, so that they can become untransmittable. U equals U.

Then we have PrEP, which is for persons not living with HIV, that you take ongoing. So we have both oral and injectable forms in the U.S., and it can help prevent you from contracting HIV.

And then we have PEP for HIV, which is post-exposure prophylaxis for emergency situations that you have to take within 72 hours of the encounter to prevent contracting HIV.

And then, we have doxy PEP, which has a trifold effect where it can help prevent the transmission of syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia. And you have to take that within 72 hours of an encounter as well, and that’s a single dose.
