So there’s different ways to provide an STI screening.

There is mouth swab, vaginal swab, rectal swab, and urine cup samples. Yes, let’s get ’em all. All right, let’s get everything done.

You go to the bathroom, just pee in a cup. And I usually teach them how to do a mouth swab or a rectal swab. We also have pictures on the wall to show them like, this is how we do things.

But no, pretty simple, ease. I tell them, you know, “Make sure you go all the way to the back, swirl around, always get the back of your throat, make sure you get the cheeks, left and right cheek, put it in the thing, snap it off, put the tube [cap] back on, and just give it to me.”

Same thing for the rectal. I always tell them, “You want to go an inch of the Q-tip in, so go left-right-left, like you’re looking for traffic, and then pull it out, and then same thing, just cap it on and just provide the same thing.

So, when do I get my results? Three to five business days. And then if not, we’ll call you.
