My job is to go out into the field and provide HIV testing services.

There’s two different kinds of answers that you can get: non-reactive or reactive. And in slang terms, a positive and a negative.

If you do come up non-reactive, which is if you’re negative, we’ll go ahead and have a conversation about PrEP, risk reduction, safer sex tips, condom, lube, whatever you need. You know what I mean.

And if it does come back reactive, we are going to go ahead and take care of you, get you the blood work that you need, and possibly start you on a supply of medication until either the insurance kicks in, or whatever extra steps you need to start.

You know what I mean, there are different levels of things that a person gets from services once they’re diagnosed.
