Nichole

I had never gotten an HIV test, so I was nervous. When it came back negative it was – I was happy about that. My doctor was telling me that transgender women are most likely to get HIV. He asked me, would I like to get on PrEP. PrEP is a medication that prevents you from getting HIV. It put me back in control of my own life. I used to not date anyone and like, kind of stay to myself, but I’ve been dating more because I have the extra security with PrEP. It just feels good that I can just get out there. It made me stronger, a stronger woman. For more information, go to prep.greaterthan.org.
