We need to talk about STIs

You know, sexually transmitted infections have been on the rise. The CDC estimates that one in five Americans in have an STI.

Stigma around STIs, around sex and sexually transmitted infections keeps so many people from accessing the services and the care that they need.

I think healthcare providers have, can play an important role by routinizing sexual care.

STIs can clearly cause, if left untreated, significant harm to our health.

That’s why it’s so important that people who are sexually active talk to their healthcare providers and get tested for STIs. And if they have one, they get treated.
