Keith

When I heard about PrEP I was kind of skeptical. What made me change my mind was, someone that was close to me was in a long-term relationship. The person that they were in the relationship with was HIV positive but they didn’t disclose it to them. My friend went to the doctor found out he was positive. With PrEP, it was more of a feeling that I had control of my own health rather than putting it in somebody else. My close friend, he didn’t have that option. Being on PrEP has changed my perspective of being in relationships with someone with HIV. Just knowing that I have that extra protection. You’re taking control of your own health. And it’s not just for me, it’s for my family as well. My mom always had her concerns. Having the PrEP also give her peace of mind. I don’t see why anyone wouldn’t want to be on PrEP. Why not use what’s available to you? For more information, go to prep.greater.than org.
