Currently, there's no recommendation to get vaccine if you had a previous mpox infection.
Scientists are looking really carefully at this and as we go forward that recommendation may change, but it looks as if folks who have had an mpox infection are actually protected for some amount of time.
And, that's the question, which is, for how long? So, if you have a rash that may not be the time to go into party zone may not be the time for a sexual partner. So, just make sure that you get tested.
