What is HIV Undetectable?

When the amount of virus in the body is so low it can’t be detected by standard lab tests. Taking antiretrovirals every day as prescribed is the best way to lower viral load. Stay healthy and prevent HIV!

Let’s Talk about HIV Treatment!

When a person living with HIV is undetectable (or virally suppressed) it means the amount of virus in the body, or the viral load, is so low that standard lab tests do not detect it. Taking antiretrovirals (ARVs), the prescription medications used to treat HIV, is the best way to keep your viral load low. Having a low viral load improves health and prevents the spread of the virus to others.
