Getting Help with HIV Treatment

I’m Dr. Charlene Flash and I’m your HIV doctor.

HIV medication is expensive, yes, but there are a lot of resources available to people.

So, for example, where I work, we are a safety-net health system. Patients with HIV are able to access support through the Ryan White program.

They’re able to access healthcare, they’re able to access medication, they’re able to access insurance copay assistance.

Through the Ryan White program, people are able to access transportation vouchers, housing opportunities for people with AIDS or HOPWA programs.

So, there’s just so many resources that are available to individuals once they have this diagnosis.
