I didn’t have insurance at the time I was diagnosed with HIV.
The social worker talked to me about the Ryan White [HIV] program.
She was pretty quick about getting all the paperwork done so that I could start my medication as soon as possible.
She also advised me on keeping up with the doctor’s appointments, with the medical labs.
I still keep in touch with her. She’s one of the reasons why I am here.
