Where can I get PrEP?

Hey, that’s a really good question. Here’s what I want you to know

Anyone who can prescribe medicines can prescribe PrEP.

It doesn’t have to be an HIV doctor. It doesn’t have to be an infectious disease doctor.

If your doctor doesn’t know how to prescribe PrEP, you can ask that doctor to refer you to someone…who knows how to do PrEP.

Another option is to think about some of the telehealth strategies that exist. Tele-PrEP is just another kind of telemedicine.

You can either go on a computer, or on a telephone and have an interaction with the healthcare provider, see if it’s right for you, and then potentially offer appropriate testing or guidance of where to go for tests, which will then be followed by a prescription that either goes to a pharmacy where you go pick it up, or potentially even a delivery pharmacy.
