I just think that it’s important that if we have a consenting sexual encounter that we assume a certain level of accountability.
When we aren’t having conversations with folks about our sexual health but we are consenting to having sex with them, then we are consenting to the probabilities of contracting an STI.
Being responsible for your own sexual health instead of placing that responsibility in somebody’s hand is empowering.
